Samantha Widmer is the Associate Director of Funds and Capital Markets at Cayman Finance, the leading association for the Cayman Islands’ financial services industry. As part of a unique public–private partnership with the Cayman Islands Government and over 150 private sector firms, she champions the jurisdiction’s world-class funds and capital markets sector around the globe.

With extensive experience across major financial hubs, Samantha actively promotes the Cayman Islands as the premier home for investment funds—now exceeding 30,000 registered funds. She works at the intersection of policy, regulation, and industry innovation, building trusted relationships with international stakeholders and highlighting the jurisdiction’s strengths in transparency, expertise, and stability.

Her role also bridges government, regulators, and industry leaders to drive strategic initiatives, anticipate regulatory change, and protect the Cayman Islands’ standing as a leading international financial centre.

A Chartered Accountant (U.S. CPA) with 18 years in financial services, Samantha brings a deep understanding of global capital markets and a passion for positioning the Cayman Islands at the forefront of the industry.
