Marina Shah, CPA, is a Partner in the Financial Services Group at Anchin with many years of experience in accounting and auditing. She specializes in providing audit and consulting services for a variety of investment company structures, including domestic and offshore funds, master-feeder structures, private equity, venture capital, fund of funds and management companies.
Marina is actively involved in Anchin’s in-house training, assisting with the development of courses, and serves as an instructor for entry level and experienced staff on accounting, auditing, and industry topics. She is also involved in recruiting talented staff and mentoring existing staff.
Marina is a co-founder of Anchin’s Financial Services Women’s Initiative Network (FSWIN), where she facilitates an environment of connection, mentorship, and development for its internal female members and throughout the industry by co-hosting events and meetings with others in the industry.
She is a co-leader of Anchin’s Culture and Belonging Group, overseeing several Employee Resource Groups and initiatives to ensure a more inclusive, connected, and thriving workplace at the Firm.
In 2024, Marina was honored by Crain’s New York Business as one of its Notable Leaders in Accounting, Consulting & Law, recognizing her impactful contributions to her colleagues, clients, and the broader industry.
Marina is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). She also serves on the NYSSCPA Private Equity and Venture Capital Committee and on the Financial Women’s Association (FWA) New Jersey Committee. She is also a dedicated member of Women in Funds and 100 Women in Finance, regularly participating in monthly events and networking opportunities.
