J. Rudy Freeman serves as a Managing Director of Corbel Capital Partners, chiefly responsible for the firm's legal affairs and focuses on rescue financings and secondary purchases of existing securities, in addition to steering non-performing investments into profitable businesses. Since joining Corbel, Rudy has also been responsible for originating investment opportunities across several fund strategies and multiple business sectors in the lower middle market as well as managing portfolio Company investments as both an active board member and board observer.

For the past 2 plus decades prior to joining Corbel, Rudy practiced law in the sectors of finance and commercial transactions, as well as sports and entertainment. Rudy has represented a wide range of clients including private equity funds, family offices, family owned businesses, large and mid-cap companies and high net worth entrepreneurs. Rudy has had extensive experience through his practice at AM LAW 100 firms assisting a varietal client base across a broad spectrum of legal issues relating to corporate finance (debt and equity), financial restructuring, insolvency and turnarounds. Rudy is a graduate of UCLA where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics, and a graduate of Loyola Law School where he received his Juris Doctorate.
