Victor Baev is Chief Investment Officer of E1 Capital, a diversified mortgage credit strategy backed by Dundon Advisers, a New York based asset management and advisory firm with a decade long track record across complex credit and restructuring situations. E1 combines liquid relative value trading with fundamental credit investing, with a strong emphasis on risk management and capital preservation. Victor has over 25 years of experience across U.S. mortgage and structured credit markets, with deep expertise spanning agency MBS, non-agency RMBS, CMBS, residential whole loans, and interest rate derivatives.

Prior to E1, Victor was a senior portfolio manager at Pine River Capital Management, where he managed mortgage credit investment strategies across the firm's fixed income fund and its publicly traded residential REIT, Two Harbors Investment Corp. Earlier in his career, he spent a decade on the sell side at Credit Suisse, where he traded agency CMOs, mortgage derivatives and whole loans, and began his career in interest rate derivatives at Dresdner Kleinwort and Barclays Capital.

Victor holds a BBA from Baruch College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
