Thomas Zucosky

With over forty years of experience on Wall Street, Mr. Zucosky has designed and executed sophisticated trading strategies, marketed them to institutional and family office investors, managed teams, and held leadership roles such as CEO, Chief Investment Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer. He obtained his Series 3 futures license in 1981, securities Series 7 and 63 in 1982, and later achieved his Securities Principal license (Series 24, CRD# 1052472).
He has served as a Registered Investment Adviser, Commodity Trading Advisor, and Commodity Pool Operator, and has sat on the boards of several commingled fund vehicles. Mr. Zucosky has also spoken at numerous investment conferences.
Currently, Tom is a co-founder, partner and managing member of Bluewater Capital Group (Dubai) (2025) and sits on the Investment Committee for the Singapore-based Poseidon Fund, focusing on alternative investment strategies, including cryptocurrency trading and others.
As the Founder (2022) and Chief Investment Officer of Lucidity Capital Partners, Mr. Zucosky oversees manager selection and portfolio management. Prior to this, as Founder (1997) and CIO of Discovery Capital, he developed and managed the multi-strategy SMA business model used by Lucidity. This model, a quasi-proprietary trading approach, focuses on producing idiosyncratic alpha, where all trader positions are transparent, highly liquid, and monitored in real time.
Mr. Zucosky has held several roles in investment strategy due diligence. As part of InvestorForce (Philadelphia, 2001), Tom managed all institutional searches for alternative investments, serving clients such as CalPERS, ABP, and Citigroup. At Strategic Investment Group (Washington, DC, 1999), he analyzed and managed portfolios for multiple U.S. institutions. In 1994, he partnered with fund-of-funds manager Olympia Capital Management (Paris), overseeing all of Olympia’s U.S.-based manager due diligence and investing with nearly every major hedge fund of the 1990s. In 1985, Tom co-founded Aegis Capital (NYC), a Registered Investment Adviser and Commodity Trading Advisor, focusing on equity market-neutral and fixed-income yield enhancement strategies.
Mr. Zucosky graduated with a BS degree from the College of New Jersey in 1978 and earned an MA with honors from Montclair State University in 1980. Tom is a resident of New York City, where he lives with his wife. Previously, he was a longtime resident of Princeton, NJ, where he raised his three children, he was deeply involved in his local community, co-founding a sports charity for underprivileged children, leading various sports organizations, serving as Scoutmaster for a local Boy Scout Troop, and as a member of the Princeton Recreation Board.
