Steven Stein is a partner in Greenberg Glusker's Litigation Department, where he specializes in media and intellectual property disputes, as well as complex entertainment and business matters. He defends media organizations against defamation, copyright, and trademark infringement claims, and enforces intellectual property rights for brands and creators. Steve also litigates entertainment disputes for production companies and A-list talent, and handles complex contract and business disputes for businesses and individuals.
Before joining the firm, Steve wrote for the Washington Post and served as a law clerk for the Honorable Stephen A. Higginson on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, experience he draws on to advocate for his clients.
Steve has been recognized by Legal 500 as US Elite Los Angeles in Media and Entertainment (2026), named to the Los Angeles Business Journal's Leaders of Influence: Litigators and Trial Attorneys (2024), and selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2019 to 2022.
