Ryan Crelin

Ryan Crelin has served as ECHL Commissioner for the past eight seasons after previously serving as the League's Chief Operating Officer. Crelin is entering his 20th season with the ECHL, after beginning as an intern
during the 2005-06 season.
He attended Seton Hall University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in sports management and marketing, before going on to obtain his master’s degree with a concentration in finance and taxation at Rutgers University. Prior to joining the ECHL, Crelin worked for a public accountant near his hometown of Middletown, New Jersey.
Crelin focuses the majority of his time on League growth and operations both on and off the ice through financial
initiatives, partnerships/contracts, and planning/executing the League's annual showcase events including the All-Star Game and ECHL Summer Meetings with the goal of being the premier development hockey league to the NHL and AHL.
Crelin lives with his wife and kids in Belford, NJ, suffering as a lifelong Mets fan.
