Marius Bizimungu is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Lumos Capital Partners, a private investment firm specializing in minority investments in sports teams and sports-adjacent businesses. He also serves as a Forward Committee Member of ACG New York, a leading association for middle-market dealmakers and business leaders.

Prior to founding Lumos, Marius worked as an Investment Banker advising on mergers and acquisitions, debt financings, and equity transactions.

Before investment banking, Marius was a private equity consultant, partnering with private equity firms on portfolio company improvements, valuations, due diligence, and corporate turnarounds, including serving as a key point of contact for the turnaround of a publicly traded company across all functions.

He began his career at General Electric, spending five years across GE’s executive finance programs. During this time, he worked globally across the U.S., Germany, Ireland, and Italy on strategic initiatives, financial assessments, and major corporate transactions, including the separation of GE Oil & Gas during its merger with Baker Hughes and the sale of GE Transportation to Wabtec.

Marius holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Syracuse University.
