Jonathon C. Tyler is a dynamic financial executive and entrepreneur with extensive global experience spanning investment banking, structured equity finance, private investment, and derivatives trading. As Founder and CEO of Symphony Capital, he has spearheaded over $1 billion in bespoke financing and advisory solutions, pioneering innovative derivative and private equity structures in partnership with major global banks such as Citibank, JP Morgan, and BAML. Recognized as a trailblazer in Structured Equity Finance in South Africa, Jonathon advised on the largest single-stock equity derivative transaction in the market and has led several major equity acquisition transactions.

Previously, he co-founded Herakles Investment Partners LLC, a New York–based private equity firm focused on acquiring and scaling emerging market assets and specializing in emerging market growth strategies. He has also served on various investment committees such as RMB Asset Management, Liberty Group, Barclays Africa and Morgan West.

Jonathon is also Co-Founder and CEO of Harvard Green Energy, advancing renewable energy infrastructure across Africa with over 1 GW of solar, wind, and hydrogen projects in development. In addition, he serves as a Director at Smart Property Finance, championing affordable housing and sustainable development in emerging markets.

Previously, Jonathon held senior leadership roles at ABSA Capital /Barclays Capital Bank Plc, where he built and managed high-performing trading and structuring teams, overseeing portfolios exceeding $1.5 billion. His career began in actuarial services and academia as a Physics Lecturer, which instilled a deep analytical and quantitative foundation that continues to shape his strategic approach to finance and investment.

Jonathon holds a B.Sc. (Honors) in Physics and Mathematical Statistics.
