John Pileggi is a senior financial services executive with extensive experience building, leading, and advising asset management, wealth management, and banking platforms across global institutions and entrepreneurial organizations.

He is a Managing Director of Business Development at Gabelli and affiliated companies, where he focuses on strategic growth, product innovation, and platform expansion across mutual funds, ETFs, and alternative investment structures. He is former CEO of Strategic Innovations Advisors, where he led innovative work for U.S. and global clients across public and private funds, ETFs, custom indexes, and interval and evergreen structures, and advised on M&A and strategic planning.

Previously, Mr. Pileggi served as CEO of an SEC-registered advisory subsidiary of a digital payments and investments platform, where he helped develop a proprietary index and oversaw the launch of two NYSE-listed ETFs. He also serves as a Senior Advisor to a private equity firm, guiding the raise of a $300 million fund and structuring a registered tender offer fund.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Pileggi founded and led an RIA overseeing more than $1 billion in assets and ran a $45 billion investment and wealth management business at a regional bank. He also led ING’s Mutual Fund and Intermediary Distribution business and was a Partner and Board member of Furman Selz, responsible for multiple business lines including mutual funds and prime brokerage.

Mr. Pileggi brings a full-spectrum perspective across front-, middle-, and back-office operations and is a frequent speaker on investment strategy, product innovation, and the evolution of global financial markets.
