David runs Frontier Group, a family office which he co-founded with Frank Carlucci, Chairman Emeritus of The Carlyle Group and former U.S. Secretary of Defense. During his investment career, David has been the lead investor or co-founder of 4 unicorns (Embraer $6B, J2 Global $6B, Megaupload $5B, Landmark/Piedmont Aviation $2B). Prior to founding Frontier, David was a principal investor with Carlyle Group and part of the early team that helped grow the firm from $150 million to over $40 billion in equity under management.

Frontier Group is backing one of the most advanced medical device companies in the world which has developed the world’s first handheld, portable device for detecting cancer, sepsis and other diseases in real-time using only human breath. David also serves on the boards of other technology and healthcare businesses, including Ever Well Health, the second largest provider of housing for the mentally ill in California and iPerformX, the leading AI-based company training US military fighter pilots.

David received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A., Magna Cum Laude, from Yale University.
