Dr. Catherine Waldrop, MD, is a physician, healthcare investor, and family office principal whose work spans psychiatry, consciousness studies, healthcare innovation, and private investment. Educated at Brown University, Columbia University, and the University of Virginia School of Medicine, she brings together rigorous medical training with more than two decades of experience exploring the intersection of medicine, human consciousness, and emerging approaches to mental health and well-being.
During her time at the University of Virginia, Dr. Waldrop conducted research with the renowned Division of Perceptual Studies, internationally recognized for its pioneering investigation of consciousness and human experience beyond conventional scientific paradigms. Her subsequent work has included extensive study and professional training in meditative and integrative modalities, as well as the evolving science and therapeutic applications of psychedelic medicines.
For the past decade, Dr. Waldrop has held a senior scientific and investment role with CI Investments, a Single Family Office based in Ticino, Switzerland, where her responsibilities have included the analysis, evaluation, modeling, and forecasting of direct private equity investments across healthcare.
